About the Obama Hope Can

The staff of Hope Can believes in hope, along with faith and love are essential to life.  Hope is what you do when you have no control.

If you're into big time politics like Mr. Obama, you go into it as a business and you work it as a business.  It's the same at a rock-and-roll concert. You have an opening number with a strong entrance; then you go through a lot of the old standards, building up to “Hope” as your hit song at the end.

During that moment the audience forgets all about their problems. They are surrounded by people of a like mind and they're all saying, 'He is hope.  My hope comes from him.  I have nothing to fear with him in charge.  He’s telling me he is with me and he feels my pain.  Let it go, relax.’

And when he looks in the teleprompter and speaks eloquently they know without question that this "hope" is much more than a brilliant sales pitch or a shrewd political gambit. It’s a lifeline to fellow citizens.  It’s an extended hand.  It's his turn to remake this country into his image.

The people out there don't see it as conformism.  It's socially approved and that is their escape.  You start off with a person's thought processes and then gradually sway them around to another way of thinking in a very short time.
